INSIGHTS

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system, heart and muscles. It also contributes to the formation of red blood cells and plays an adjuvant role in the treatment of herpes zoster. Symptoms that may indicate a deficiency of vitamin B1 are loss of appetite and fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and a general weakening of the muscles.

Vitamin B6: deficiency of vitamin B6 leads to an increase in the concentration of homocysteine and then a drastic increase in the risk of atherosclerosis.

Several symptoms may indicate a lack of vitamin B6, such as depression with nausea, vomiting, seborrheic dermatitis, mucosal lesions, glossitis and cheilosis and peripheral neuropathies.

 

 

Principle of the Method

The active form, Pyridoxal-5′-phosphate (PLP) is determined in blood after deproteinization, derivatization and injection of the supernatant properly treated.
